Volvo announced on Friday, 21 June. Land 'N' Sea has 12 distribution locations throughout the United States and Canada, Volvo reported. With more than 100 sales representatives and more than 10,000 dealers, boatyards and marine retailers, Volvo said Land 'N' Sea is well equipped to market and sell Volvo Penta's QL bow and stern thrusters. Volvo Penta added that it will continue to market the thrusters to OEMs as well as through its own authorized dealer network. "Our partnership with Land 'N' Sea offers us a great opportunity to get these products in the dealers and boatyards that specialize in these types of applications," said Ed Monacchio, vice president of parts business management, Volvo Penta of the Americas Inc. "Land 'N' Sea and its Barclay Marine subsidiary are enthusiastic regarding the opportunities this partnership brings to both companies," said William R. Slansky, Land 'N' Sea president. "Volvo Penta has seen substantial global market share gains with OEMs in the thruster business against long established brands due to the quality and features engineered into the product line," he added. "Land 'N' Sea, with its well-placed distribution centers and knowledgeable sales force, already services Volvo Penta's target customer base, and is strategically positioned to help establish the QL thruster line as the preferred brand in the retro-fit market." |
