Land ‘N’ Sea gets a West Coast presence
Land 'N' Sea Distributing, the Pompano Beach, Fla.-based distributor
of marine repair and resale parts and accessories, says it has
acquired certain assets of Seattle-based Wilson Marine Inc. and
Wilson’s wholesale division, Marine Parts Northwest.
“The closing of the Seattle transaction represents another step in
our goal to grow through sound strategic acquisitions,” said
William R. Slansky, Land 'N' Sea president and chief executive
officer. "Our presence on the West Coast completes our lateral
coverage of North America, and brings the total to 32 states in
which we distribute Mercury's Quicksilver parts and accessories.”
Wilson Marine has ceased operations and has reached an agreement
with Land 'N' Sea to “dispose of the remaining inventory assets
through normal industry channels.”
Land 'N' Sea Distributing is a subsidiary of Houston-based Land 'N'
Sea Corp. Each of Land 'N' Sea Distributing's 12 regional centers
offers more than 30,000 products from more than 300 suppliers.
Slansky says the centers serve more than 10,000 dealers.
Land 'N' Sea also operates landnsea.net, a business-to-business Web
site at which dealers can access information, including data on
warranty processing and finance services.
